Introduction

Dr. Ajay Jhaveri is one of the best Gastroenterologist in Mumbai. Dr Ajay Jhaveri did his undergraduation from Nair Hospital, Mumbai, pursued DNB General Medicine & then specialised in medical Gastroenterology both from Jaslok Hospital. He is presently working as full time consultant in Dept of Gastroentrology, Jaslok Hospital & Research centre. Dr. Jhaveri has worked on research projects and clinical trials, published papers in medical journals, delivered talks, and helped in the organisation of national and international conferences. He has been actively involved in national health programs connected to pulse polio, leprosy and malaria eradication. He has participated in social awareness programs held by the preventive and social medicine department of TN medical college, and has been involved in community geriatric medical camps, as well as camps for school and orphanage children. He has worked at primary health centres in the villages of Parol and Bhathane, as part of his service to the community. He has received numerous awards for his outstanding academic and professional work, and for his efforts at state level painting competitions, elocution and dramatics.
