Dr. M P Sharma is a graduate from Agra Medical College. Dr. M P Sharma has done MD in General Medicine and DM in Gastroenterology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi. Dr. M P Sharma had worked at Harvard Medical School, Boston, as Clinical fellow in Gastroenterology and Instructor in Medicine. Dr. M P Sharma joined the institute as faculty member in 1975 and continued working there till April 2004, when Dr. M P Sharma superannuated as Professor & Head of the Dept. of Gastroenterology and Chairman of Hospital Management Board. Dr. Sharma's contribution has resulted in Dr. M P Sharma's being President of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG), President of Indian Federation of Medical Ultrasound, President of the Geriatric Society, Executive Committee Member, Treasurer, Vice President of ISG, Dean of Indian College of Medical Ultrasound to name a few. Dr. M P Sharma is a fellow of National Academy of Medical Sciences, American College of Gastroenterology, College of Physicians of India and International Medical Sciences Academy.
