Introduction

Dr.Ramraj V N has been part of Columbia Asia hospitals since March 2015. After completing MBBS from the prestigious M.S. Ramaiah medical college, Bangalore in 2006, Dr.Ramraj went on to pursue post-graduation in General surgery from St. Philomena’s hospital, Bangalore. Dr.Ramraj subsequently worked as a senior registrar in the departments of General and Plastic surgery at St. Philomena’s hospital before pursuing a full-time Fellowship in minimal invasive surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences, where Dr.Ramraj underwent training in basic, advanced Laparoscopic and Gastro-intestinal surgeries including foregut, Hepato-biliary, Pancreatic and Colorectal surgeries. Dr.Ramraj further went on to pursue Fellowship in Metabolic and Bariatric surgery, a two-year training programme from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences. Dr.Ramraj has trained in a variety of Metabolic & Bariatric surgeries including banded procedures and redo and is the first surgeon in the country to receive a university recognized fellowship in this coveted sub-speciality of Bariatric & Metabolic surgery.
