Introduction

Dr Phiroze Patel joined Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai in January 1992 and is currently the Director of the Opthalmology Department. Dr Phiroze Patel has a rich experience of over 25 years and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and Fellow of Royal College of Ophthalmology United Kingdom. He specialises in phacoemulsificaton cataract surgery and medical-surgical retina. He has made several presentations in national and international meetings over the years. He has been presented many awards and medals. His teaching programme in ophthalmology at Jaslok has been very popular and rewarding.
