Dr. Mokal is an expert in Cranio- Maxillo-Facial surgery which is the foundation of aesthetic facial plastic surgery. He is the project director of Smile Train project at Shushrusha Citizens Co Op Hospital for treating Cleft lip and Palate surgeries free of cost and has performed 1000 cases over last four years. His technique of correction of cleft lip nose deformity is accepted in Indian Journal of Plastic Surgery. He also invented his technique of Release of Oral Sub -mucus Fibrosis which is published in British Journal of Plastic Surgery. This surgery is useful for the Indian population who has the habit of chewing tobacco. He has 16 international and national publications on different topics to his credit.
