Brain Map, also known as Neuro Map, is used to evaluate brainwaves and communication between various regions of the brain. A window of brain activity is captured to create a visual representation for each lobe & each specific brain wave by analyzing the data.
Brain mapping can be performed in any surgery involving exposure to brain parts & is known as Intra-operative brain mapping.
Under anesthesia testing of various locations on the brain is done with the help of small electrical probe. A number of locations can be tested & mapping is done of the areas where the movement is involved.
It is essential that the patient follows proper instructions given by the doctor after Brain Mapping.
