Breast Reconstruction Surgery is done to restore the shape of the breasts, which is mostly done immediately after the mastectomy and the lumpectomy procedure (the surgeries done to treat breast cancer).
Breast reconstruction can be done immediately after the breast cancer surgery or it can be done months or years later ( delayed reconstruction ).
