Introduction

Dr. Trinanjan Basu completed his post-graduation in radiotherapy (radiation oncology) in Calcutta (West Bengal), after which he did senior registrarship in various site based radiation oncology from Mumbai for 2.5 years. Dr. Trinanjan Basu then worked at the high-end state of the art facility in Delhi-NCR for 4 years. During this time he also served as visiting clinical fellow at Institute Gustave Roussy, Paris, France (ESTRO Grant). Dr. Basu’s area of expertise includes treatment of benign and malignant brain tumors, head and neck cancers with IMRT/VMAT, application of SRS/SBRT in brain, spine, lung and prostate malignancies. The documentation of better quality of life with the application of newer modalities aiming at cure and survivorship is an area very close to his heart. D.r Basu has experience in PETCT based planning and evaluation in head and neck malignancies, a better technique to spare normal structures and assess and improve quality of life. Dr. Trinanjan Basu future planning is to analyze and document modern imaging based (PETCT and MRI) outcome analysis for various sites of cancers. Dr. Trinanjan Basu has more than 25 national and international publications in peer-reviewed journals and also received international and national travel grants and awards (ESMO, ESTRO Travel Grants).
