Doctor has performed more than 2500 ERCPs independently. He has independently performed nasobiliary drainage, stents, sphincterotomies, oesophageal dilatations, oesophageal stents, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomies. He has extracted foreign bodies of all types and sizes from esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. He has independently done diagnostic laparoscopies. He has performed more than 500 balloon dilatations for the esophageal, gastric and duodenal strictures. He has done injection sclerotherapy for variceal and non variceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding in more than 4000 patients. He has done Esophageal banding for more than 1000 patients. Doctor has specially trained for both upper as well as lower gastro intestinal endoscopies in children because of extensive experience. He has independently done polypectomies in large number of patients and has performed more than 4000 diagnostic oesophagogastroduodenoscopy and 500 colonoscopies. He has also performed some special procedures like placement of billbao dotter tube in jejunum, enteroscopies with pediatric colonoscopy and PEJ.

Best paper award in poster session on Budd Chiari syndrome due to inferior vena cava obstruction at annual gastroenterology conference at New Delhi in 1992. His name is included in “Who’s who in medicine & healthcare” published in June 1998 from U.S.A. He has also been honored as Tata scholar of the year 1998 for higher studies abroad along with financial assistance.
