Dr. Srinivas is currently the Director of Orthopedics Department at Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road. Dr. Srinivas is a Senior Consultant and Joint Replacement Surgeon with over 16 years of extensive surgical experience and has operated over 4000 surgeries (over 2500 Joint Replacement surgeries). In December 2006,Dr. Srinivas joined the Wockhardt Super Specialty Hospital (now Fortis Hospitals) as a Senior Consultant for Joint Replacement Surgery and still continues to be so. Dr. Srinivas had pioneered the Orthopaedic department and performed over 600 surgeries in the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, Pondicherry in 2002 and continues to be a visiting faculty there.

Dr. Srinivas also has number of publications of which the recent one is about “Clavicle Fracture associated with Subclavian Artery and Vein Injury”- journal of Trauma, US 2008 and chapter on “Osteoarthritis” in text book of Geriatric Medicine published by Help Age India. Dr. Srinivas has delivered guest lectures on Joint Replacement Surgeries in multiple Indian Medical Association meets in different parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Dr. Srinivas graduated from Bangalore Medical College in 1997 and is a recipient of gold medal from Bangalore University for excelling in the field of Surgery. Dr. Srinivas further did his Masters in Orthopaedic Surgery from the A.I.I.M.S (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), New Delhi.

An orthopedic doctor, also known as an orthopedist, is a doctor of osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Medicine (MD) who specializes in the musculoskeletal system that comprises of bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves. Board-certified orthopedic surgeons have successfully completed a minimum of thirteen years of formal education. They must finish four years of study in a college or university and get an undergraduate degree. The undergraduate degree must be followed by the four years of study in a school of medicine. After which, they should complete five years of Orthopedic Residency at a major medical institution. They can later choose to become a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon by completing one year of specialized education in an accredited fellowship program.
