Introduction

A Pediatric Hematologist and Oncologist , Dr.Manas Kalra looks after children, adolescents and young adults with blood diseases and cancers. He did his medical training at Manipal University (1996) and then joined there as an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics. Dr. Manas Kalra successfully completed a Fellowship of National Board in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology and was previously working as a Consultant at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. Dr. Manas Kalra also pursued a 3 year fellowship in Pediatric Oncology and Bone marrow transplant at the Children’s’ Hospital at Westmead, Sydney, Australia. Dr. Manas Kalra specializes in management of cancers of childhood, adolescent and young adults like leukemias, lymphomas, brain and bone tumors, solid tumors and patients undergoing bone marrow transplant. His expertise also includes management of various forms of anemias, thalassemia, bleeding and clotting disorders.

Awarded Gold Medal for the Best Outgoing Student in ENT for the year 2000. Received scholarship, Dr. G. D. Veliath Memorial Prize for competitive exam held during MBBS in 1999. Awarded Best Outgoing Student in MD (Paediatrics) ? Dr. B. R. Ramarao & Dr. P. N. Krishnamoorthy Medal for the year 2005. Won the first prize in “National Quiz on Pediatric Leukemias” organized at the 33rd Annual Conference of Mumbai Haematology Group, March 2010 in Mumbai.
