Introduction

Dr. Mala Kaneria has a wide experience in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases common to the tropics like Malaria, Leptospirosis, Dengue, Typhoid, Chikungunya and Tuberculosis. Dr. Mala Kaneria has managed infections like hydatid disease, cysticercosis, amoebiasis, tropical eosinophilia and filariasis, besides rare bacterial and viral infections like Brucellosis, Ebstein Barr virus infections, etc. Dr. Mala Kaneria has an immense experience in the treatment of opportunistic infections in HIV/AIDS, especially tuberculosis, both pulmonary and extrapulmonary . Dr. Mala Kaneria is particularly interested in the diagnosis and management of patients with prolonged fevers of undetermined origin, vector borne diseases and tuberculosis, both pulmonary and extrapulmonary. Dr. Mala Kaneria also has an experience in the management of nosocomial infections and in the management of infections in specific subgroups like geriatric, diabetes, pregnancy and other immunocompromised states.
