Introduction

Dr. Sheetal Sawankar is a Consultant Fertility Specialist at Surya Hospital, Mumbai. She has done her under graduation from Mumbai, following which she completed her DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from K. J. Somaiya Medical College. She has a special interest in the field of Reproductive Medicine. She started her career as Fertility Specialist with Rotunda - The Center for Human Reproduction, for a period of 4 years. Further, she pursued her Diploma in Reproductive Medicine and Embryology from the International School of Medicine, Germany. Dr. Sheetal has several successful IUI, IVF/ICSI, Donor Egg and Surrogacy cycles to her credit. She also has extensive experience in handling various fertility problems like Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Endometriosis and Recurrent Implantation failure and has a special interest in Minimal Stimulation IVF and Natural cycle IVF for poor responders. She has many chapters published on the subject in various textbooks and has attended multiple conferences, CMEs and workshops. She is extremely dedicated towards work & bears excellent communication skills. She is a Life Member of the Mumbai Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society (MOGS), Indian Society for Assisted Reproduction (ISAR) and the Association of Medical Consultants (AMC).
